Virtua Voohees - any thoughts?

Has anyone delivered at Virtua Voorhees recently?  I'm due in August and wondering what the mister and I should expect (baby rooming in, hubby staying, is everyone super nice, any tips on stuff to bring aside from the usual, etc.) Thanks a bunch!!

Re: Virtua Voohees - any thoughts?

  • I delivered there a month ago.  All the staff I had were great - I can't say enough good things about them.  I did have to share a room the first night but had it to myself the next night - she went home a day before me.  If you are sharing a room your husband cannot stay the night.  You have a choice of whether or not you want your baby to stay in the room w/ you during the night.  I can't think of anything other than the normal stuff you will need to bring.  Good luck with everything!!
  • Thanks so much!!  =)

  • if it is anything like virtua mt holly then bring as little as possible!  take advantage of all the stuff they provide....

slippers, panties, robes, shampoo and cond, toothpaste and brush, pads, diapers and wipes, receiving blankets.

i only packed a small bag with my camara, computer, mouthwash, brush, going home clothes, and a little makeup.  the only thing i wish i would have brought is a comfy pillow because the hospital pillows are covered in plastic and not very comfy!  you may also want your boppy if you intend to breastfeed.

congratulations and good luck!  hope you love the birth experience as much as i did!!
