My first pre-pregnancy purchase...

I bought the book What to Expect Before You're Expecting.  HH was with me, he was like, "oooh good idea sweetie!"  :)  Only 4 more packs of pills... :)

Re: My first pre-pregnancy purchase...

  • I have been thinking about getting this one, how do you like it?

  • Just sat down with it, so i can't tell you much, but I figured that the other books are staples of pregnancy, so why not this one?  So far, it's pretty good.

  • I recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility too if you haven't read it yet.  It is amazing even if you aren't planning on kids, and will really teach you a lot.

Yeah. TCOYF (as they call it on GP) is a really good read. I have PCOS so it was a great help to me!

  • I just recently bought this book also, it is very informative. I am not sure when you are going to start TTC...I know you said you were going off the pill in 4 packs...I went off on June 1st and would recommend to anyone who will be soon to go off sooner than you think you should or than the doctor recommends. I have been on BC for 10 years and am having a hard time "regulating". Just my opinion

  • First post here, woohooo - LOL

We stopped birth control right after the honeymoon, so we've been off now for about a month. I'm so excited, we're going to "officially" start trying in August image

  • Taking Charge of Your Fertility was also strongly recommended to me by my cousin.  She has done a lot of research because they are having trouble trying to have a baby.  The author is Toni Weischler.  I haven't gotten it yet, but we're heading to Borders tonight for a reading date with my stepson tonight.  I'm going to take a look at it while I'm there.
  • I've been taking pre-natal vitamins since April...and I think we're going to TTC in 2 weeks in my July cycle! Woohoo! Either that or August if I chicken out in July, haha.
The Bump ate my signature. DD - Apr 2011 DS - expected June 2013
  • We aren't planning on TTC for 4-5 years but when we do I'll get the What to Expect book. My mom had it when she was pregnant with my youngest sister (9 years ago).

  • I read it on our honeymoon, I found that most of it is common sense and can be found on the net. I got it because it was on the subject and that I could get it on my kindle.
