TMI...what do you use if you sweat "down there"

Summertime is really bad for me it seems like as soon as I get dressed I am sweating down there.  Can you put deodorant or use baby wipes?

Any suggestions would be great.

Re: TMI...what do you use if you sweat "down there"

  • On my thighs I actually use deodorant (especially on my thighs when I wear a dress). NEVER in my vagina or close to it and never in my butt crack. I stop at the crease at the top of the inside of my leg.

If you can wipe a baby's junk with baby wipes then they are perfectly fine for you to wipe with them. But, they are wet and I don't see how they would make you feel better.

If you are talking about discharge, then wear a panty liner and change often.

This is my favorite otc sweat stopper: Read the directions. You do not put it on every day.

Try baby powder! I don't have the same problem but I have heard of people using it. Using a wet wipe really doesn't solve the problem. It can only help get rid of sweat smell but since its wet wipe I suggest you also dry yourself with toilet paper afterwards.HTH!

  • I like the Summer's Eve wipes.  You can keep them in your purse and take them with you to the bathroom.

Their is also a spray for your vajayjay that works like deodorant.  I can't recall what brand, but I used to use it when I would sweat down there.

  • Baby wipes are fine, but not deodorant.  If you haven't given yourself a chance to dry completely or are wearing underwear in materials that don't breathe well, it can make sweating more likely.  You could try baby power/cornstarch in your underwear for temporary relief.  Aside from that I'd say mention it to your doctor to see if there is anything else you could be doing.

I totally disagree with using baby powder.  When it combines with your humid downstair environment, it's very highly it'll cause an infection.

I agree with cotton & other very breathable material undies.  Also, wear more skirts or dresses.

  • Please, please DO NOT USE baby powder or talc! Hasn't anyone else heard that it has been linked in study after study to ovarian cancer? I thought this was very widely known nowadays. It's especially been linked to cancer when used on panty liners or pads, so it's so not worth using it for something as completely natural as a little moisture "down there," as you say, which btw, is not at all precise, so it's unclear whether you are referring to normal secretions or something else.

I love baby powder and I will continue to use it daily...I also use feminine sprays.
