Brazilian Blowout

Has anyone had this done?  I got my haircut today and they were telling me about it.  I have a 50% off any service coupon, so I'm seriously considering using some of my birthday money to get it done.  I would love to be able to just get out of the shower, let my hair air dry, and not have to do anything to it.  Just wondered if anyone has any first hand experience with it.

Re: Brazilian Blowout

  • I have nothing to offer you because I have no idea what this is.  But I'm really curious.  Could you describe it?
  • My cousin is a hairdresser and everyone in my family (except me) has gotten it.  They swear by it and I can tell that it works fabulously and their hair still has the waves that it had before, just the hair is smoother.  I'm getting mine this month!

  • I've never done it, but I got Keratin straightening right after the wedding. It's worked pretty well, but kind of fades fast.

  • I've heard of it, but never had it done.

  • I've gotten a BKT which I think stands for Brazilian Keratin Treatment or something like that. I love it! I dont even have to use a brush when I blow dry my hair. I also live in Houston and its very humid and I've noticed a lot less frizz as well. I would highly recommend doing it. I got it done the week before the wedding and I still can tell a big difference. A good one should last about 6 months.
