  1. Are you friends with any Knotties/Nesties/Bumpies on facebook?  Yup.  I think it all started from a Knottie GTG and then over time grew from there.  Do we have some sort of masterlist or something?  I'm sure I don't have half the ppl on here...feel free to friend request me
  2. Do you friend request and/or accept friend requests from: Random people?  People you have met online (other than Knot/Nest/Bump) but never met IRL? I don't accept or send requests to random people but have friended ppl that I've met online but never met IRL.  In fact, I'm facebook friends with one of my oldest internet buddies.  We met when we were like 13 years old on Microsoft Comic Chat and still occasionally refer to each other by our handle from back in the day lol.  Wow I'm nerdy :P.
  3. Are you usually the friend requester or the requestee?  It depends but I feel like more times than not I'm the requestor.  I tend to like to expand my network...you never know when you'll need them and it's truly a small world!
  4. How many friends do you have right now? 490 but I won't lie, I'd only consider a handful of them really good friends.  That's just how I roll...big network, small tight knit group of close friends.  The biggest groups are probably family, elementary through hs, college, work, and then a smattering of online buddies .
  5. At what age do you remove your birth year from your personal info?  For me, I removed it this year...so that would be when I realized I was turning closer to 30 than 20 ...my sister has a way of always making me feel old but to be fair, she's 9 years younger than me!
  6. Have you ever been defriended on facebook and if yes, how did that make you feel?  As I think about this I think probably everyone has at some point in their lives.  Most of the time I don't really care.  I understand the need to occasionally cull the friend list and sometimes some updates can get annoying (yeah, I'm talking about you Farmville and Mafia Wars!!...thank god now we have the "block" and "hide" options).  I know I do this sometimes.  There have been a few ppl that defriended me that I'll admit stung.  Ex-bfs which is probably for the best and healthier but still...one in particular I would have liked to stay friends with because even when we were dating, we were really just more like friends.  Then there was someone that I thought was a good friend (like literally part of that small circle I talked above) and I realized she defriended me but is still friends with a lot of our mutual friends and my siblings (who she's never met and I didn't even know they were fb friends?!).  I won't lie....I felt majorly dissed and I think it bruised my virtual ego.  It's going to be awkward given that I'm almost positive we'll see each other IRL quite a bit.  Guess I'll just pretend like it didn't happen?  Maybe it was accident...  All I know is that I don't defriend ppl that I know I'll see again IRL b/c it gets sketchy and you can't friend request them again without it being super weird!
  7. What is the most interesting/strangest thing you've ever seen on facebook?  I've seen tons of strange things on facebook yet sadly nothing in particular is coming to mind right now so I'll have to think about this one some more...
  8. What is the funniest thing you've ever seen on facebook?  Recently it would have to be that Alpha Kenny Body video from KevJumba that my sister posted.  OMG that was hiliarious!  I also love the Bounty rap video...I'm such a huge nerd lol!  Facebook is definitely good for a laugh sometimes .
  9. Have you ever been burned by something you've posted on facebook?  Elaborate.  Eh, it's happened a few times before and with various people.  I guess I have a tendency to just speak my mind and sometimes people can't deal with that :X
  10. If facebook were a famous person (dead or alive), who would he or she be? Lol I can't think of a person right now (my bad since I'm the one that wrote the Q!) but all I can think about is the Sting (feat. Police) song "I'll Be Watching You".  Sometimes the amount of information that we give them (and other companies like Google) does seem a little stalkerish.  And, the newsfeed feature when it first came out felt this way too.  TMI sometimes!

  2. Do you friend request and/or accept friend requests from: Random people?  People you have met online (other than Knot/Nest/Bump) but never met IRL?  No, not really.  Usually if I don't know them I don't accept being friends!
     
  3. Are you usually the friend requester or the requestee? It depends but mostly the requestee.  I can't get on at work, and when I can at home I normally don't have much time to!

  5. At what age do you remove your birth year from your personal info? HAHA funny..I never put mine on there (although I'm 28 and most people I know, know my age!)
     
  6. Have you ever been defriended on facebook and if yes, how did that make you feel?  Yes...Honestly I didn't even know who defriended me.  I just noticed my number was one less...OOPPS

  5. At what age do you remove your birth year from your personal info? I removed it for safety reasons but everyone knows my age.

I once made a status post about being upset very vaguely and my sil and mil thought it was about my husband and called me out on it. Luckily it wasn't and I explained and it was ok but now I am very careful about what I say on there.

  I'm "friends" with a few people I "met" on the Nest. I met one in person and that bit me in the butt pretty badly. Though I am meeting one IRL on our drive up to Dayton. I'm very excited to meet her.

  I only add/accept if I have talked to them online for more than a month and haven't gotten a shady feeling from them. Even then I am very selective about it.

  I get shy about requesting people as friends. I always worry that they don't like me. So I tend to wait till I get a friend request.

  I've been defriended a few times. Most of the time it has shown me who they really are as a person.

  While I admit to playing a lot of the different games...I still find it very strange when I see a mother that sits on FB all day and plays every Ville game to be found. That's not that strange or interesting though.

  Nothing super funny. My friends tend to post random funny videos, but that's about it.

  Naw. The people I know, know me well enough to get whatever I am posting. I only recent issue I've really had was dealing with my MIL.

People I've met online - a few. Some are from another message board I used to frequent and there are a few friends of friends that I've never met IRL but found funny on our cross-posts, so either friended or accepted a request.
  3. Are you usually the friend requester or the requestee? I think it's about even.
  4. How many friends do you have right now? 130-140 I think - I don't really care about that too much.
  5. At what age do you remove your birth year from your personal info? Never posted it - I was advised that it contributes to identity theft.
  6. Have you ever been defriended on facebook and if yes, how did that make you feel? I'm sure I have, but like I said - I don't watch my numbers so it's not been painfully obvious at any point. I think someone having issues with me IRL is more important than not wanting to be FB friends.  I also understand that there are people I love IRL who make bad FB pals so I would try to consider that there are a lot of reasons why someone may de-friend you that having nothing to do with their IRL feelings about you.
  7. What is the most interesting/strangest thing you've ever seen on facebook? Scar & tattoo photos. My reactions range from 'wow, that scar looks like Touchdown Jesus' to 'Really - you went with anime puppets on your upper thigh? That's the statement you want to advertise for the remainder of your life?'
  8. What is the funniest thing you've ever seen on facebook? My H's profiles for our dogs and his decision making as to which 'dog friends' our dogs should have.
  9. Have you ever been burned by something you've posted on facebook?  Elaborate. No. I'm a pretty honest person so I don't make up excuses - which are the things that usually burn you -white lies and excuses.
