it's happening again

A couple of years ago I had my first "Oh my gosh everyone I know is having babies!" Now it's happening again.

There is definitely a difference between a couple years ago when it was older friends, cousins, & my SIL having babies. This time it's same age friends & girls I went to high school with. I can't help but compare what they're doing with what I'm doing. Not in a negative way, just comparing for the sake of comparing I suppose.

  • I feel that way too!  I keep waiting to get bitten by the baby bug, but nope nothing yet......

  • Yep, I'm just about the last of my friends to get married, so many of them are already on the baby wagon.  Between them and my two sisters (I have four nieces/nephews and a niece on the way) it's baby overload!

    Anniversary
  • definitely happening around me - and I do have the baby bug, but am trying my hardest to wait until 2011 to have a serious discussion about TTC with DH to give him time (b/c that is closer to when I always said I would be ready, and I think he needs the time!!). I keep thinking about how much bigger our savings account will be if I just WAIT!!

. This for me too. "The year of the baby" was two years ago in my social circle. I attended (or sent a gift) 11 baby showers. Now they're all PG with the 2nd. I still don't have botb. Might be because it's hard enough working and taking care of a 30 year old baby.

Hahahaha! This seriously makes me laugh. I know what you mean... about the 30 y/o baby thing. In fact, yesterday Ted asked me how I "do it all", and I didn't know what to say. "Because someone has to?" LOL. I couldn't imagine throwing kids into the mix right now, I would have a melt down. It's not even that Ted doesn't help at all, he does help in little way & sometimes in big ways (like picking up after the dogs), but I still feel like I am in charge of so much and I'm still adjusting to being married & living together.

  • funny how it works out that way.  can't wait to hear what people say at my 10 year!

    This exactly!

Although, my photography business has a lot to do with it too b/c I keep getting wedding inquiries for next fall already!  I can't be ready to pop at that time & have weddings scheduled! so most likely we'll be waiting to TTC until around this time next year. No babies til 2012 I guess!

But again...our savings account will be MUCH bigger by that point!
