Visiting from MN - Carrollton?
I am going to be in Dallas in the next month with SO while he's in town on business. We'll be staying in Carrollton. Any tips on things to do/see, restaurant recs, etc... would be much appreciated. Our 1 month old DS will be with us as well. TIA!

This is not optional. You HAVE to go to Babe's. (BYOB)
Another one of my favorites is a Cuban restaurant (bit of a hole in the wall) Caribbean Cafe (Beltline/Webb Chappel). Get a mojito and vaca frita or ropa vieja.
If you travel East on Beltline (main road through Carrollton) you'll get into Addison where there are a ton of restaurants (Beltline/Dallas North Tollway).
I second checking out Addison with all the restaurants up that direction. Definitely hit up a mexican restaurant for some yummy TexMex at some point. There's also the Melting Pot for fondue if you're looking for something different although it can be a long dining experience with baby in tow.
As for Babe's, gosh I think I'm the only one in this area that doesn't get it. It's chicken, biscuits and overly buttered side items. Go to KFC and save your $!
