I just found this awesome meat CSA in Point Reyes that follows the philosophy of Joel Salatin - yes, the guy from Omnivore's Dilemma. After that book tore down my beloved Rosie chicken from Petaluma Poultry I've been discouraged about the availability of truly sustainable meat for someone who doesn't have a deep freezer, and actually considered for a minute going back to vegitarian. I am so giddy about this possibility I could squeal.

This is the awesome source by which I found them:
I'm so glad I decided to read Omnivore's Dilemma even though it's basically preaching to the choir. It's really refocused and recommitted me.
Re: LMW, ESF - Bay area locavores
Oh awesome. I'm going to check these out and show them to DH.
Are you signing up? If you do, let me know how it goes. We may be joining you.
Unfortunately they don't deliver to a locale near me. And, we just don't eat enough (red) meat to justify the cost. How awesome that something like this is available though! Wonderful!
Coincidentally, f you ever find a dairy CSA, PLEASE let me know b/c I would really like to join one of those. We (me) consume so much dairy it's insane!
Deductive reasoning isn't a conservative or liberal attribute. ~epphd
I'm in Marin, and found this farm a few weeks ago! I should have shared! I, too, am so, so excited! I am from about two hours away from Joel Salatin's farm, and I was so bummed that I hadn't heard of it before I moved out here.
Now, I can go to my very own!
