what's your favorite/least fave workout?

love: pilates! it feels low impact while you're doing it, but the next day I am so sore! it makes me engage my core (which I really have trouble doing) I can feel little stomach muscles after one session. I found a dvd on netflix last night. i'm def. feeling it today!

hate: running; I love that it slims me down and how strong I feel once I've built up endurance, but geez it's hard to get there.

love: step aerobics.  In high school, I signed up for a gym class that was mostly girls, with a female instructor, and she made us do step aerobics for a few weeks- wow I loved the definition in my legs!  So, now I do it on wii fit.  I would love to have the extenders to make the board higher.

hate: Im with you Lauren on running.  My legs can handle it, my lungs cant!

  • Love: Elliptical & Walking

    Hate: Running also!

  • I have to admit that there are no workouts that I love.  That being said, I did enjoy doing step aerobics when I was in high school.  But really, I enjoy anything I can do with a friend.

I've always loved the concept of being a runner.  Finally starting to go to the gym again.  Last week, I managed to run 3/4 mile.  Last night, I ran 1.67 miles (without taking a walk break).  I know it's not much, but I was proud of myself.

Hate: any kind of team sport...I feel like an idiot.

  • Sounds like I'm pretty opposite of ya'll:

Favorite - Running. :-) But it's something I can't really do anymore due to injury, so the next best thing is walking. I try and walk like 4 miles 3 times a day, at 4.0mph & 2% incline on the treadmill. And 2-3 days a week I do weights, which I've noticed actually helps with weightloss more than lots of running/walking/elliptical, etc.

Other favorite workouts that I don't do regularly but would love the opportunity to do all of the time - tennis and kickboxing.

Least favorite - Aerobics, because I'm SO uncoordinated. I can't follow the steps and I get so lost.

  • in college at the universitys rec center we had all kinds of different classes to take in the semesters. my favorite was dance (being that i was a dancer in hs) and spinning. but i love team sports like tennis and raquetball. right now t and i play one on one basketball everynight for about 30 minutes to a hour. we both use to play in hs.

least- running...my boobies are too big and they ache after running (although we use to have to run in hs for dance and cheerleading)
