d) your DH: Well first I'd buy his nappy head a haircut. Then I'm sure he'd use it for a new car, as he still drives the Celica his parents gave him in 2000 for his 17th b-day.

a) travel: where would you go? I've already planned a trip to Seattle for later this summer, so $1000 would just make it extra fun.
b) yourself: what would you buy or do? I've been eyeing an iPad. I'd put the leftover money towards accessories, clothes, and shoes.
c) your home: what would you buy or fix? I'd buy a grill, coffee table, and/or bookshelves.
d) your DH: what does he want or need right now? My BF would be in heaven if I used the $1000 to buy and/or make him weekly crab dinners. Or if I used it to pay all his race registrations.

b) I'd buy a package of massages and facials. my back is a wreck and I would love to have more microdermabrasians for my sunspots/(small) wrinkles.
c) new couches. the ones we bought two years ago are really uncomfortable. word to the wise, never go furniture shopping while hungover. you'll end up settling because your husband is antsy and doesn't want to go to more stores.

a) travel: where would you go? I'd like to go Napa/Sonoma again with DH. Loved it, romantic weekend would be nice.

c) your home: what would you buy or fix? Hmmm. Lots of little things. Would love $1,000 at Crate& Barrel to decorate our new place. Vases, frames, lamps, etc.
d) your DH: what does he want or need right now? He'd be stoked if I got him an iPhone, or a new mountain bike.

a) travel: where would you go? Port A ... I know, I know. But I don't want to fly, and that's a good short drive. I know the town so well I can get my favorite food, stay in my favorite hotel, shop in my favorite spots, and RELAX!
b) yourself: what would you buy or do? Clothes. I'd waste every penny on maternity clothes and shoes. Who cares if I can only wear them for a few months? It's a free $1000 bucks right? And it's be worth it to be comfortable for the next 6 months.
c) your home: what would you buy or fix? I'd have the rock patio built in the backyard.
d) your DH: what does he want or need right now? Tires for his car.
a) travel: where would you go? Another vote for Port A....just don't have a lot of extra time to go far..(busy with cakes...that is a great thing!!!!)

a) travel: where would you go? with $1,000 I might throw in a tiny bit extra and go to California to the beach - then to OR to see my grandfather (that DH has never met).

a) travel: where would you go? $1000 would almost cover our trip home for Christmas. If it were me traveling alone, I'd hit up Italy. 1K doesn't really stretch to far w/ airline travel these days, huh?
b) yourself: what would you buy or do? Pay off debt. I know it sounds practical, but I think it would feel really good to throw down a good chunk of change.
c) your home: what would you buy or fix? New flooring.
d) your DH: what does he want or need right now? Windows tinted for his car.

a) travel: We'd go to LA to visit friends, take the kids to the beach and go to Disneyland
b) myself: day of pampering - cut/color, mani/pedi, massage, facial, the works. Anything left would be spent on clothes. I'm in love with a couple of items in the Athleta catalog.
c) my home: fix master bath, curtains/art for our master. If I had more to work with I'd also buy our dining chairs, get a new entryway chandelier, make some changes in the kitchen and get a new roof.
d) Maybe a new computer or guitar. I'd rather do a couple of little fun surprises/outings for him, but right now he might want one of the other two items more. My top picks for surprises for him would be either a white water rafting/wine tour trip in CA or taking sculling or welding classes together. Yeah, welding. I know it's not very romantic, but we've both always wanted to learn.

c) your home: what would you buy or fix? A dining room table and chairs! It's killing me that we've been here 3 months without them. Plus a desk for me and something to hang on the big wall in our LR.
