I ask this question YET again...

What is the name of the make your dinners to go place on 29th street behind Schueller? Dream dinners always come to my mind and it isn't that.

  • All though I just looked at the website and it looks like they are closing in July! They chose not to renew their lease... they'll be closed over the holiday weekend and then open again until July 15 (or until they run out of food)

  • Thank you.

So our church is getting a new pastor. They just moved to town, so the helping hands committee asked people to bring them meals while they get settled in. Do you think it would be fine to bring them something from there. I thought that way they can cook it whenever they want. Plus I SUCK at coming up with meal ideas to bring to other people. I would much rather pay $10-$15 to buy something, than buy a bunch of ingridents, screw it up some how, and then be stressed that my dish wasn't good.

  • Noooo!!!!!!! They are closing in mid-July.

This sucks. coming this fall, I was actually going to start buying meals from there.   Hopefully Making Thyme makes it.

  • I think that would be fine. It would be nice for them to know that they could cook it whenever. They make these meals w/ the intention they will be frozen for awhile. If I made something myself, I couldn't guarantee it would freeze well. Stick out tongue

  • What about either picking up meals or a gift certificate from Making Thyme?  They're not cheap, but they're convenient, and the food I've had from them is good.

ETA: Ha... never mind.  I see you already thought of Making Thyme.  I should prolly read all responses before I post.

  • I've been to dream dinners a few times.  there's a minimum you're supposed to get -- I think it's 12 meals -- 3 servings each.  Maybe the other place doesn't have that.

My friend brought takes dream dinners to people for new baby meals.

  • I don't have an answer to your question...but I was just thinking how nice to see that some of the "old" clan is on here.  I don't get on here very often...Facebook takes up all of my spare time..what I have of it. LOL

    Hope everyone is doing well!!

    Take care!
