I can't hang

I went to the midnight showing of Eclipse, got home around 3am, fell asleep around 3:30, woke up at 6:30. I've felt hungover ALL day. hahaha.

I took the day off Embarrassed and went back to sleep from 8-10 and then 2-4. I still feel hungover.

I didn't even drink! haha. I'm getting old because I can not hang any more! Apparently it's 7 straight hours of sleep or I'm useless. lol.

It was really fun, though. I can't remember if I've done a midnight showing of anything before. I think I did for one of the LOTR movies. I want to do it again for Breaking Dawn!

OH! & for all you Harry Potter fans - they show a preview for the next 2 (final) HP movies and everyone went crrrrazy. I'm not really an HP fan - haven't read any of the book & only seen a couple of the movies - but the next two movies look really, really good. I may have to go. I know Ted will want to anyways.

Re: I can't hang

  • This post cracks me up for two reasons!

    1.  I feel ya on the oldness.  I went to see the midnight release of the 2nd Pirates of the Caribbean movie and ended up being POed during the whole last hour because it just would. not. end.  That was and probably will always be the last time I see a midnight showing.  :)

    2.  OMG HP.  Haha, I've been a huge fan for I guess over a decade now, so I can't wait for these movies.  I just watched the trailer today and got goosebumps and teary-eyed.  Yeah, I'm that big of a nerd and I'm proud of it!

This cracks me up b/c I so agree with you! DH and I were just talking about this the other day. We used to be able to go out all night and then go to work with no problem. Now, not so much. It's crazy if you don't get enough sleep, you really do feel hungover. Getting old suxs! =)

  • haha - I definitely cannot do late nighters anymore. And actually - movie's (no matter how good) are the quickest way to put me to sleep, so I'm sure I would have had a nice nap at a midnight showing :-)

This is me!  However, I am a night howl and never get more than 5 hours sleep during the week.

  • LOL.  I thought I was going (my neighbor here had told me she had an extra ticket for me and since I am new here I thought, yay, a new friend-well, she stood me up, but that is a story for another time), but since I did not go, I am kind of glad now. I can't hang on no sleep either so I would have been a wreck all day.  I can't wait to see it though, AND the new Harry Potter movies!

  • Same thing happens to me if I'm up late, only get a few hours of sleep, and then have to get up early. I hate that feeling of being hungover when you haven't had a drop of alcohol.  I really don't understand why this happens when my body is used to waking up at 5am 4 out of 7 days a week to workout.

    We're old balls!

  • I totally would have taken the day off too. I seriously can't function without enough sleep. I didn't get much sleep on our honeymoon (sleeping in an uncomfy bed + noisy neighbors + DH who never sleeps) and by the end I had a complete mental breakdown. Complete with me locking myself in the bathroom and crying in the bath tub (with no water in it). Yeah. Sleep deprivation for Ali = wackadoo.
