Reccommend your shampoo?

My hair is naturally failry straight on it's own, I just have a little bit of wave. Most days I flat iron it, but sometimes I just blowdry. I have been using It's a 10 and I like it but it's $20/bottle and they are pretty small bottles and I just can justify speding that much on shampoo/conditioner.

Re: Reccommend your shampoo?

  • I go back and forth between Dove and Herbal Essence. I have thick straight hair and usually blow dry and straighten it daily.
  • hahaha You would *** if you knew how much I spend on shampoo and conditioner....Damn my fine and thinning hair. Sorry not much help, but GL on the search to find a new shampoo.

  • I alternate between brands (generally whatever I have a coupon for, lol) and currently I'm using the Suave Professionals Volumizing and I really like it!! :)

You would never catch me paying $20 a bottle - eeeeek! :)

  • Suave has a daily clarifying that has good ratings on Makeup Alley and is inexpensive. I've used it several times and liked it. Pantene Ice Shine is similar, little more heavy though, also good ratings. I didn't like Dove - too heavy for my fine hair. John Frieda Brunette ones are okay, haven't tried the Frizz Ease ones. I wasn't digging the Vive shampoos for some reason.

Right now I have John Frieda Root Awakening Restoring, and I like it.

  • I'm finishing up my first bottle of Matrix Biologe for normal hair.  I have very oily roots and very dry ends, but this shampoo controls my oil and I just condition the ends every couple of days with a deep condition.

I love love love Aveda products, especially Shampure, but usually don't get to the salon often enough.

  • redken smoothdown is my holy grail shampoo and conditioner, i just loooooooooooooooove it.  it is about $14 per bottle but ulta frequently has it b2g1f, which is when i stock up on it.

  • I just got my Ulta flyer in the mail today and they are putting their LITERS of Redken shampoos and conditioners on sale for $13!!!  Starts Sunday I believe.  When I get my Brazilian Blowout tomorrow, I will have to use special sulfate and sodium free shampoo, otherwise I'd go stock up on the Redken.
