So it's the first day of summer vacation....... I know a lot of people think how easy teachers have it and get 2 months off. For me, it's such a big change from working so hard for 8 months with a group of children. So today, brings the question of what now do I do with all this empty time? I have plans as in teaching a little summer school, some small vacations, and home renovations. Especially having a good time this summer just the two of us before we ttc. And getting a lot of stuff done in the house before we ttc and school starts. I also need to busy myself with activities as my husband, like most people, work through the summer.
So, what to do first? *Organize Girl Scout items for next year to volunteer, *clean windows *replace all the fixtures in the bathroom *scrapbook, picture collages *find worksheets for next year *other ideas welcome
Lawby, where do recommend shopping for the bathroom? It has a new shower and new floor to ceiling tile. But they put back in the same old sink, towel bar, ect.

Wow, my school year is 10 months. With the amount that I work in that time, the number of students I see on a daily basis, and the hours that I put it outside of the school day... I think having two months to do my own thing is only fair. Not to mention that I still do work during the summer.
Either way, I am ready. Let the summer begin.
315bride,
I totally agree that we deserve 2 months off. It just takes me a while from being so busy and working so much to not doing much at all. I could do anything I want and go anywhere I want. This summer, I almost have no school stuff and am doing things for me, us and our house. Have a great summer off.
I'm also a teacher
I have to teach summer school this year since we are trying to save for a big move next year, but I LOVE having summers off...I don't think I could go back each fall without the big break.
My huge summer plans are to finally make our wedding album...hopefully in time for our first anniversary.
