Another random question/thought laundry related
Did any of you watch The Marriage Ref? Did you see the episode where the wife complained of her husbands sock sorting habits?
If not here's what happened. She does the laundry and she was complaining because her husband came up with a sock system. Every pair of socks he had he would write on them in permanent marker R1 and L1, R2 and L2 and so on. He had like 10 pairs. He was anal about only wearing matching socks (the numbers) and always on the same foot (the R&L). So when his wife sorted socks they would be matched by number and letter. I guess she thought this was weird and a pain having to make sure each one matched perfectly.
I actually thought it was a pretty good idea! I don't really care what foot my sock is on but I hate when I get one sock that is newer than another or not as white as the other. What do you ladies think?

I don't wear socks that often either but I will tell you when I buy new socks (like white gym socks) then I throw out all of the old socks. So then I never have newer socks paired up with older socks.
When the bottom of my laundry basket gets full of unmatched socks I just throw them away too. I don't wear them a lot but I tend to buy MH lots of new socks because I get tired of matching them and hunting down missing ones! New ones seem to last about 3 or 4 months before they start disappearing on me!
Here is my solution for MH's socks since he wears them all the time (dress and gym). I put them all in his sock drawer unmatched and let him take care of it. Some might call me lazy or a bad wife...but I just hate listening to him when he says I mismatched his socks so that was my solution!
Heck no! When they complain about something nice you are doing for them, you let them do it themselves. MH has learned this little lesson as well
