How did you pick your wedding date?
Was it the anniversary of when you first met? Was it a lucky day for you? Did you want to share the date with another couple? Was it the only date at your venue available? Was it completely random?

We really wanted to get married on our dating anniversary (August 28th), thus making our 1st wedding anniversary also our 10th anniversary. Right before we booked, Alex's cousin "claimed" that date. Family drama ensued, so we changed our date. The kicker? They didn't even attend our wedding, though we offered to pay for their entire trip (they live in Paris). We attended their wedding in the middle of nowhere France. I regret changing our date.
Then we wanted to get married July 4th weekend. I thought celebrating the end of our independence on Independence Day was hilarious. Plus, free fireworks. Some guests freaked. Once again, we changed our date.
June 28th it was. No family from Paris and we had to pay for the fireworks. Not that I'm bitter...
I survived the RoLex wedding and all I got was this lousy husband.

Married
Our husbands must be related. I would have loved an October 3, 2009 wedding since that was 6 years after we started dating and it was a Saturday, but DH loves college football so I knew anytime in the fall wasn't an option. I originally wanted a May wedding but the venue was booked so we decided on June 13th since it was open
