NBC 6 weather.....

I am the only one that hates there hurricane commericals running on channel 6? The dramatic nature of them is out of control with that terrible fear inducing music. The is fear mongering is too much for my taste. Has anyone else see them?

Re: NBC 6 weather.....

  • Haha, haven't seen them but I can only imagine.  Reporters down here seem to enjoy getting all dramatic this time of year as if every tropical depression is the next Andrew.
  • I haven't seen them either. Now I am curious to see. But I do agree they get a little dramatic at times. I love when they go to the local grocery store and film that last bottle of water standing in the shelf. It makes you want to jump thru the TV and get that bottle LOL.
  • They do it every year, so I guess I'm used to them. lol. The news stations are all foaming at the mouth any time a breeze picks up around here.

  • How about when they find the one flooded parking lot in West Miami and stand in the middle of it to give their report. Channel 6 (for those in Monroe, Dade and Broward) are running the most terrible fear mongering adds saying something like "I love to give you the great weather reports but I am here to tell you when its going to get bad and when it is time to worry." Forget watching channel 7, accorded to them and their "cone of concern" I think even hurricane alex is still coming here!

  • We live in Palm Beach so I haven't seen them.  I've gotten so used to the hurricane commercials and panic I don't really pay attention anymore (which could be bad I guess).  You'd think most of the weatherpeople are wishing a terrible storm season up on us by the way they talk though.
