**lucky**

I saw in a PP that you have a Droid. How do you like it?? Details Please!

I am up for contract renewal soon thru Verizon, and I want to upgrade to more of a "smart phone", so my option is to either find a Verizon phone good enough to convince me to stay with their service, or switch to AT&T for the coveted iPhone. I am a mac person, so the idea of the iPhone is beyond tempting, but so is not having to hassle with deactivating, reactivating, and breaking from the family plan I am in with H thru current carrier.

Anyone else with phone reccs - feel free to chime in!

Re: **lucky**

  • The phone I have is actually the Cliq from Tmobile but a coworker has the Droid and after comparing they are pretty much the same thing.  I love it.  There aren't as many apps as the iphone but because so many android phones are coming out now, they are quickly catching up.

It is pretty easy to use though.  I love that it has a slide out keyboard.  I don't know that I could ever operate with a strictly touch screen keyboard.  I take pics and movies with it all the time and I love Motoblur.  Motoblur is where you can link accounts to automatically feed into your "Happenings" on the home screen.  FB statuses, pics, and friend requests pop up but it filters out FB app notices.  There is a little bit of a lag time but you can see what is going on without going online.  Twitter can do the same thing although I don't have a Twitter account.

It is a google operating system so you need a gmail account to use it but maps, talk, and email are on there by default.

  • That sounds pretty cool... I like the idea of the slide out keyboard too. I'll have to check those out at the store. Thanks!!
