I am so glad that today's Friday and that I have a 3 day weekend coming my way. Tomorrow I'm going to help my mom at work while MH helps my dad put new brakes on the van. I've also decided that I'm going to apply for some part-time jobs this weekend. Hopefully I get a few offers because I can't handle our financial stress any longer. We're paying our bills each month, but there's no money for a cushion or really even to have any fun. I can handle two jobs at least for a year, so that's my plan. Next year I'll reevaluate and hopefully most of our bills will be paid off.
Sorry about that randomness. It just feels good to see that idea in print. Have a great day ladies and a safe weekend!
Re: TGIF
Happy Friday! I am right there with you- this week seemed endless. I am excited for this weekend- we're having a barbecue at our house tonight, then down to the IL's on Saturday, and my parents' on Sunday- busy, but should be fun!!
And good for you! Fingers crossed that something comes your way
Happy Friday everyone!
lol, sorry
Just mix a bit of boredom at work with access to Photoshop, add a touch of OCD about things looking neat and voila! Siggy craziness...
MY BLOG!
I like it! I understand the whole OCD thing too. I, for whatever reason, didn't want my three pictures on three different lines. I wanted them right next to each other, and I was worried the TheNest.com, in all it's HTML wonder, would keep bumping one or two of them down. Thus I combined the three in Publisher.
What's your favorite red wine?
Scottnsissy...I like your siggy! I don't know who you are rooting for but
GO ND!!
This week went by quickly for me with the exception of Tuesday. DH's BFF and his wife are in town for the next month. This weekend, I had over the finished baby shower invites and "thank you" cards. I'm most excited about that because they're awesome! Also, DH said that we'll stick with our original plans for the 4th and not meet up with his parents that day. Yay!
I completely understand- that bugs me too! And I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in the siggy OCD...
And Cabernet Franc is my absolute favorite, but I also like pinot noir and Cab Sauvignon. Actually... I like most of them, except I'm not a huge merlot fan.
I had posted that we went to a vineyard the other week... they make a cabernet Franc that is unbelievable! They only produce like 2000 cases a year, but be on the look out for it. The vineyard is called Persimmon Creek. It was the first Caberet Franc I've ever had, but I'm hooked!
Ooh thanks! I'll have to check it out. And maybe order some...
Is it sweet? Dry? I generally like white wines over red, but I'd be willing to check it out.
I'd say it's dry, but not extremely so. Personally, I like it because I think it has a richer, almost spicier flavor than a lot of reds, but still tastes slightly lighter-bodied. When we went to a winery, they called it "earthier" which I kind of agree with.
You should try it! It probably tastes better than I make it sound.
Irish all the way! I have a feeling it'll be a long year, but I'll still root for them.
It's not as dry as a Cabernet sauvignon, those can be REALLY dry. But it has more to it and it's drier than a pinot noir. Definitely one of the more mild reds, so you might like it.
