And the main article was titled "Crotch Care 101"

I couldn't have changed the page fast enough... but now I'm kinda curious, lol

  • Note to self: Never go to The Bump

I do not want to know what a post with that title contains.

  • A blogger that I follow reposted that in her blog a few days ago. I read it, and immediately regretted the decision.  Absolutely terrifying.

  • going to find it now! too curious!

  • I am NOT going to go read that.  I feel it will be traumatizing.  I do want kids eventually, but I also REALLY like my crotch just the way it is, thank you.  Dilemma!

i want kids, like right now, but nothing is going to make me have THAT discussion with my mother...sorry doc

  • Now you girls have my curiosity up! I'm going to pass up reading that article though...for now anyway.

Good decision. I was not so smart. Indifferent GOOD LORD.

  • I, too was curious. I, too, regret my decision. Tongue Tied

  • Crotch care, eh? I guess some things don't come natural to everyone! Womp Womp Womp

Sarah, seriously, nothing about that seemed natural to me.  I mean, I know babies are supposed to come out that way, but I didn't realize they were so destructive!!!  Ugh, seriously can't get what I read outta my head.

  • Goddamn I have been TRYING TO TELL YOU PEOPLE that having babies is gross and painful and not at all glamorous!! I think all females need to read an article like that as soon as they start having sex. SEriously. People need to know what they are getting themselves into!!

  • That totally confirms my decision to ask for a c-section!!  Blargh!  It makes me cringe just thinking about it.  But then again, I saw a real live in the OR c-section when I was in nursing school...they took that woman's uterus out and put it on her stomach!

Did you see their PS, stay tuned for the second part of it?  Dealing with post c-section recovery?  Yikes.  I also want a baby, like, now....but whew, scary!

  • C-sections actually have longer recovery times than vaginal births (or so I have heard) you spend more time in the hospital, it's major surgery! I'd much rather go natural and do it the way it's supposed to be than have my stomach cut open. eeewwww.

  • Yeah c-section recovery is definitely longer, my best friend just had one and I think recovery is 6 weeks.  But I'm afraid of the other things that go with the vaginal birth...tearing, peeing when you cough...I don't know...

  • That's understandable. Personally I'd just rather deal with those things, which heal pretty quickly and easily and are something you don't see than have a huge scar on my tummy and all that. Like peeing when you cough lol if you do keigels it helps a lot, and some people just don't get it too bad, and either way its not like it's forever! Tummy scars are forever. Can you tell I worry too much about my tummy? haha

  • Yeah, I like my bikinis too much for tummy scars.... but then again, post-baby, it'll probably be a while before I can wear one again!!

That article should be required reading for every high school girl in America.

  • I doubt I'll ever look good enough to wear a bikini again. i miss that one summer I felt secure enough and actually looked good in a bikini.  my friend has a tattoo on her lower belly (just a little sun or something) and not only did it look crazy funny when she was pregnant, they sliced right through it for her c-section!  Now it doesn't line up quite right.

  • How come nobody has brought up the fact yet that "crotch" is a gross, and IMO, unacceptable word?

I say crotch all the time... as in "I'll give you a swift kick in the crotch!!"  I've never heard it called a Britney... I don't think I'd want to name it after a skank!  haha

  • You girls crack me up! ?I've been getting the bump newsletters in my email. ?Crotch Care 101 came to my email the other day while I was with DH, I showed it to him and he started laughing hysterically, and wanted to know what kind of smut was coming to my email.
