So with Eclipse opening in theaters on the 30th, just wanted to see if anyone is planning to go so it and of course if you are a fan are you team edward or jacob?
I have seen both of the prior movies, but I only started getting really into the series after I read the books this past Dec. I am currently re-reading Eclipse...I can't wait to see the movie in Imax on Friday! And I am def. team edward...ugh I can't stand Jacob especially in the books!
Re: Eclipse Fans?
Honest.to.god I never thought I could get into this series, but then I saw the first movie, read all of the books in a week, and have been pretty dedicated ever since! lol. I'm definitely not seeing it when it first comes out because of the crazies, I like to be a more covert fan
Um, as for Edward vs. Jacob - there are aspects of both of them that annoy me, but for pure visual pleasure, I'm totally team Jacob. I know how the series ends and all, but still Oh.My.God it's pure eye-candy. And while we're on that...really, bella - who wants to fvck someone that feels like granite?!

twilight = creepiest thing ever.old man in kids body creepily lusting over human girl.
LOL he's immortal. But on that note, on one hand you have a really old dude, and the other one is verging on beastiality. Sweet!
Oh yeah, I'm obsessed. I read all the books fast and then was excited to see they were making the movies. The first and second movies sucked - it didn't seem much like a movie to me, it was kind of like this happened, then this happened, then this happened. But I've been reading reviews that say the third movie is much better cinematically.
I won't be seeing it until a few days after it comes out though. I saw New Moon the day it came out (not midnight though!) I couldn't hear the movie over the screaming high schoolers, augh. I hate obnoxious high schoolers so so much. We'll probably see a 10am showing, hoping it will be mostly empty.
Anyway, in the books I'm Team Edward all the way because Jacob is whiny and young. But in the movies I'm totally team Jacob because he's got the assets, isn't nearly as annoying, and doesn't seem so young.

But he's NOT an old man. He's permanently stuck at 17.

I'm surpised by the team jacob votes. Although, Jacob may have the abs and all the relationship between bella and edward is way better. And I def. think that edward is the better looking one of the two as well...I need someone else to be team edward! lol im losing
I think the relationship between Bella and Jacob remind me a lot of a situation I got myself into in HS. In the book it's clear that it's team Edward just because of how it's written.
But in one of the previews for Eclipse, Bella is standing with her boyfriend, a hot guy comes along with a motorcycle, and she hops on right in front of her BF. Seeing that played out in front of my eyes, I can identify with that, up until the point where she tells Jacob to not be so smug about it.

disagree! lol. For some reason Robert Pattinson does nothing for me, I think it's the weird smushed-in face. In the books I like Edward better, but in the movies they make him seem super controlling. I was voting team jacob based purely on aesthetics
on a side note - we were watching New Moon the other night just for the h*ll of it, and when Jacob came out all ripped I subconsciously let a little 'mmmm' slip. DH shot me a ridiculously jealous look lol.
Wow! So how crazy was it? I am going Friday morning and I am so excited...I cannot wait. Were the scenes that you did not look the ones with Jacob or others? I am not looking forward to seeing the kiss between them. Yes, Team Edward!
It was pretty crazy. I got to the theater at 9:20 for the 12:01 show and the lines were already around the building. The theater I went to was showing the movie on 8 different screens and in one of them the film burned out before the movie even started.
The scenes that I didn't like were mostly the ones with Charlie in them. Sad to say, but they could have been cut out. Oh and the graduation scene wasn't my favorite.
I finally saw it today! It was by far the best of the three movies. Can't wait to get it on DVD so I can watch it more. DH "liked" it because he could actually follow the plot this time without having read the books.
I thought the scenes with Charlie were good; not unnecessary at all. There were a lot of good one liners with those scenes.
I think the next movie is going to have to be rated R... that should be fun.
