Obviously, you can't give medical advice online... but if you know anything about this - or have heard of anything I'm curious to know if this is something I should see a doctor about.
Over the last 2 weeks when I lay down at night my right thigh gets a burning sensation like it is freakin' on fiiiiire. It lasts for a while - and honestly I'm not sure when it goes away - or even if it does before I just pass out at night.
I was thinking maybe a pinched nerve - but my dad mentioned periphreal arterial disease http://www.merck.com/mmhe/sec03/ch034/ch034b.html and it is making me worry. I'm (obviously) under 70, a female, and not inactive... but neither is my dad and apparently he has it too and it can cause a lot of leg twitches as night (which i have). grrrrrreat.
I noticed it happening tonight when I was sitting on the couch and leaning over on the coffee table to write something. This is the first time I've noticed it when I wasn't on my back.
Anyone experienced anything like this???

I'm no doctor, but I'd really doubt it was peripheral arterial disease...I thought that had something to do with hardening of the arteries from cholesterol as you get older? You're too young.
Is the pain on the front or the back of your thigh? If it's the back, I wonder if it could be sciatica or something from, like you said, a pinched nerve. I've been getting some burning like that recently, depending on how I sit in my work chair.
