Does anyone else hate writing DH because of it's cheesy meaning - "Darling Husband". It makes me wanna puke. I really want to abbreviate it or just still refer to him on TK as FI because I hate having to type "hubby" or "husband". Lazy, yes...I realize this; does anyone else feel this way or am I the only snot?
Hmm...how about just HB for husband, for those of us that are anti-DH?

Re: Husband Acronym
i HATE the word hubby. i'll use pretty much anything but.
i use DH because it's easy and it's funny/sarcastic. this is TN for the love of edna, i'm pretty sure it's clear 99% of the posters are not using it to express cheesy love.

On my locals, I'm positive that most of them that say DH actually mean it in the cheesy, I wanna smack you across the face kinda way. I guess that's why I never considered it to be sarcasm.

I always think of it as designated hitter...
Some of the girls on my local board write MH for 'my husband' and YH when responding for 'your husband.'
Depending on the situation, DH could mean what I first thought it did when I joined TK. damn husband. LOL. For a few weeks, I thought all of the married ladies were really upset with their husbands.
I cannot STAND "hubby". It's like baby talk for a grown man. I cannot bring myself to use it and I cringe when i see it used. Hubby and wifey make me stabby.
ETA: Using "H" gets the point across, too.
It's almost here! Weeeeeeee!

LOL. Depending on the person, I can overlook certain things.

LMAO! I prefer DH, but more of the way that nobs is talking. Maybe I'll change it up later.
