Did anyone sign up for flylady?
Re: Did anyone sign up for flylady?
I did! But, I have been slacking
DH doesnt get/appreciate the whole clean shiny sink thing! Have you been doing good with it?
Oh good!
I've been slacking too.
especially since my g'maw has been here all week and K's been gone.
I didn't tell K about it, but lasst week I was doing well and he said something like 'who are you and where is my wife!?"
lol
I really hate cleaning. It's so overwhelming to me.
At least i bought post-its and a timer. lol....
I think I will start on the babysteps today with day 3 or 4..
You've done better than me! All I can muster up is the shine the sink, then I just freak out and clean whatever LOL. Maybe we can make each other accountable- do check ins?
Im going to get my list form the email to do today for sure.

From what I understand, its a cleaning schedule/routine. It helps to always make your house clean, but not have to spend all day doing it. Each month, they have you focus on a specific area in your home as well.
It's sort of a behavioral modification. It gets you to do little thinks for so long that it becomes a habit or you realize that it's not a big deal so that you're not overwhelmed.
You place post-its as reminders for a little while. You do your hot-spots for 15 minutes a day and then stop. This prevents the burn out of doing a crazy all day cleaning.
yes! I would love to. we should include before and after pics. lol
LOL, that would really make me accountable! Should we do it daily or weekly?
I feel like I already do this now that I have Emmy. I have certain things that I do each night now (like clean up the dishes, clean the sink, do the counters, etc) while I am making her bottles up for the next day.
I have always picked up the dogs toys too. It drives me crazy.
I bought a white board to write out dinner for the week (so DH could cook if I am too tired) and my plan was to write down a chore each night that needs to get done as well so that we both know and when the other is taking care of the baby, it can be done.
Baby #2 - D&E - 10/1/10 @ 19w2d - thanatophoric dysplasia confirmed.
Charlotte Lillian will be forever in our hearts.
Baby #3 - Little Bean - natural miscarriage - 1/17/11 @ 5w5d
This is a great idea! I might do this as well (but mine will be a chalk board...) Thanks for the tips!
Hum...I guess we could try daily and see if it's too much. I feel like weekly won't be enough. I've got a hard head and if there's something I'm not crazy about doing it's really hard for me to change. LOL
Answering to you SHOULD help. lol
