XP: Wood floor / window treatment recs
Hey all. I need your recs for flooring companies (looking for wood floors) and
window treatment companies - blinds or whatever. Got anything good for
me?
Re: XP: Wood floor / window treatment recs
our neighbor owns a flooring company. he installed our tile floors, but I know ndkluvsr- something-or-other used him for her wood floors and she was happy.

he'll come to your home with samples!
We went with a company our gen. contractor recommended. they did an awesome job with our hardwoods - were able to match up, sand, stain, seal our existing HWS with new HWs and you can't tell the difference between the old and new parts.
High-Tech Carpets http://www.high-techcarpets.com/
(dont be confused by the name - they are a full flooring company). They also installed slate backsplash for us in the kitchen, as well as slate tiles in the bathroom and shower.
we have Pella windows. They are freaking awesome. Yes, they're expensive, but they're worth it. They are triple-paned, w/ the blinds inside--no dusting! The ones we have can be opened w/ a crank and then you slide a screen down (and up) as needed. Love them.
We did our own wood floor expansion (already had wood floors, got the wood to match from a place in SA though--we had 50+ year old wood floors). if you want that info, just holla.
I can take you to Prosource and get you 30% discount on MSRP on hard surface, and 40% on carpeting.
For window treatment, if you want custom, I can help you make them, if you want something ready, the great curtain company in south austin, has nice selection with decent prices for the quality.
