how do you clean your flat top stove? Our new one is a flat top, and I have no clue.
I suppose I could look it up...
Re: cleaning question
I haven't even looked for them yet. We just put the stove in last week and I'm noticing spots from when DH cooked eggs this morning. I'll have to check them out when I am at the store next.
Thanks!
i am surprised your stove didn't come with a small sample, you need to use a special cleaner, but you don't have to do it every day, usually i use it 1-2 times per week, it leaves a coating on the stove that will make things come up a lot easier with just plain water for the other days of the week, it also makes it nice and shiny!! if you do get something that is terribly burnt on the stove, i will squirt the stuff directly on the spot and let it sit for about 10 minutes and it comes right up, but never do it while the stove is hot, you have to let it cool completely, i buy mine at bed bath and beyond because i use my 20% off coupons
i use something called cooktop magic
we bought the appliances at a Sears Appliance outlet so they didn't have manuals or anything. It's all online. so we've looked them up but I didn't look at how to clean it.
Thanks!
It is only $4.99 and it lasts a very long time, I probably buy 1 bottle a year. and IMHO it is worth $4.99 a year to keep the cooktop looking nice and new, our stove is 5 years old and still looks showroom shiny
