We hit the motherload....

Just bought a ton of fireworks for tomorrow.  When we first moved back to Alabama from Georgia, we lived in the city and didn't realize that fireworks were illegal within city limits, so we got busted for shooting off bottle rockets our first 4th of July back.  Now that we've bought a house out in the county, it's game on!!!  We just bought a massive thing of fireworks... the big ones.  70 shots.... It's going to be AWESOME!!!  Plus, we bought a bunch of random other little things.  Now we don't have to leave the house to see a fireworks display!!  We'll have it in our yard!!  Keep your fingers crossed that we don't burn our house down!!!

  • Woohoo! They're not legal in our city, but we just have to cross the river and they're legal in town. I think we're going to pick out some little stuff tonight :) Have fun!
  • Have fun!  That sounds like a great time and will be a perfect memory.
  • Fun!  We actually forgot all about watching the fireworks here on Canada Day, and when we were leaving the BBQ at our friend's place I mentioned to HH that I was kind of disappointed that we'd missed it.  Then as we were coming up to the bridge to get home, we noticed that they were just beginning!  So we didn't miss them at all, and they turned out really fantastic.  I have to be honest, I was shocked that this little city managed to put off such a great display, I think it was better than any Canada Day firewords I've seen in my old (and MUCH larger) city!

Have fun tonight, and be careful!!

  • Those are some of the best memories I have of 4th of July. My aunt and uncle used to live out in the country and we'd swim all day in their pool, cook out and then when it got dark, shoot off a ton of fireworks. Now everyone lives in city limits and its illegal. :( boo. Well we're going tonight with a few friends to Bricktown in OKC to walk around their block party and then watch the fireworks at 10. The rain moved out so I think it'll be a nice time.

  • Haha ever since I was litttle I have hated being around fireworks. I'll stay inside and watch them, but that's it :) We went out and did our partying last night, and we are good for the weekend! Now we can just stay at home and chill.
