I just watched P.S. I Love You

for the first time.  And my face is a swollen mess.  My eyes are ridiculously puffy, my husband is laughing at me, and I can't breathe through my nose because all the crying plugged it up.

Have you seen it?

Re: I just watched P.S. I Love You

  • Have I seen it?  Twice.  Did I cry?  Hysterically, both times.

First time was with my girlfriends when it was first in the theatre.  HH (my BF at the time) was on the opposite side of the country and I texted him throughout the entire movie basically asking him not to die on me.

Second time was when it was the in flight movie on the flight from Hawaii, just after HH became my F.  Lost my friggin mind the second time too, to the point where HH had to take my headphones from me in an effort to get me to control the sobbing that I'm sure was irritating my fellow passengers.

I am also in love with Gerard Butler.

  • Saw it and read the book, too! (Did you read the book, AshleyanneB? You should!) Loved it.

  • I haven't seent the movie, but I'm sure I will soon.  I LOVED the premise of the book, but I feel like a book snob because some of the author's writing drove me bonkers.  Overall, it came together ok, but the part in the book where they were at the bar and someone was videotaping and...??? I don't even know, but it was confusing to me and seemed really unrealistic!  It was riddled with grammatical errors too.  I did read the whole thing, and like I said, I thought it was sweet and had a premise that I loved.

Perhaps I should watch the movie, then the grammar wouldn't be an issue, lol!

  • I am definitely going to get the book tomorrow. =)

And btw, many hours have passed and my eyes are still red and puffy.  I started to tell HH about the movie and couldn't finish because I started crying all over again... such a sob fest!

THIS EXACTLY! But I'm a police dispatcher - and thankfully don't always work midnights.. I kept having to pause the movie to compose myself from all the freaking tears!! Officers kept stopping in all night to see if I was okay because I "didn't sound quite right on the radio". HA!

  • I bought it thinking It was going to be one of my favorite movies. Watched it once and cried my face off. Haven't watched it again since. I put that movie on the same line as Marley and Me and 7 pounds. Too sad to watch again.
