Hi, my name is Ashleyanne and I am an appliance-aholic.
I bought ANOTHER kitchen appliance.
To be fair, most of the ones we got came from the wedding, but I have purchased a few.
I have a Cuisinart 9-cup food processor from the wedding and went to BB&B with gift cards today and bought the little mini one.
HH is not happy... "Why did you have to buy that when we already have one?"
Helllllooooooo! This one isn't the same- it's tiny, cute, and so much more manageable for everyday food prep!

Re: Hi, my name is Ashleyanne and I am an appliance-aholic.
Oh I LOVE it, haha. But as the title of my post suggests, I may be a little biased.
Seriously though: it makes food prep SO much faster. I work full time and go to school full time so the 5 minutes I can save from slicing or chopping veggies in the processor makes my life just that much easier.
Plus, the big one is good for soups (I make asparagus soup and butter nut squash soup) and hummus.

You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
I love having the appliances, too. But I'm ANAL about my countertops. I hate clutter on my countertops, and I don't have much cupboard space. So we have to minimize the appliances here for now.
That said, I have a cuisinart food processor which I ADORE and I used to use ALL THE TIME. I still use it for grating cheese because, lets face it, WHO actually enjoys that dreaded prep job?! As for most everything else, I now use my handy dandy won't-ever-do-without-again Pampered Chef food chopper. Oh. Mah. Gawd. I friggen LOOOVE that thing. And it's easy to clean, simple to store, and doesn't have a lot of parts to try to find room for.
End of my public service announcement for the day.

Love the title to this post.
I love kitchen gadgets and appliances. Pineapple slicer, strawberry corer, pickle grabber (from the pickle jar), you name it, I've bought it. I have an addiction too, thank you for bringing it into the light
I have a couple of target gift cards just waiting to be spent. I'm trying to be good and wait until HH gets back in town. So far, so good.
Oh, goodness. I just googled the Pampered Chef Food Chopper and now I want one.
My mom never had a food processor, so I'm only dimly aware of what they are. You girls are intriguing me with your descriptions, though!
o.m.g. WANT.

Is it just me, or does pickle grabber sound dirty to anyone else?? haha...
I actually told HH that if anything ever happens to the PC Food Chopper I got, that I didn't care how much they cost, I was getting a new one. (I still don't know how much they cost, but they are worth EVERY PENNY! Love it!) I chopped onion, carrots, celery, potatoes, and garlic for my soup within about 10 minutes and it took me about 18 seconds to rinse/clean up. Sawweeet!

LMAO Ash! That is funny. I promise though, it is KICK ASS. It's about a 12" tall and maybe 6-8" around. SO NICE. Compact. Easy-Peasy. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
OK. The end. (Not tryin' to create marital dispute.)
