How long did it take to get your wedding pics?
DH took pics for my cousin's wedding, and I'm wondering how long it took you guys to get your wedding pics. Or if you could elaborate - like when did you see proofs, or did you get pics on a DVD/CD.. just looking for a basic guideline of 'average' time it would take for a photographer to get pics to their customers (one way or another). Thanks ladies!

I think it was about 10 days til we got the CD with the proofs... Then we procrastinated on putting together our album.. and i remember it took a little longer than I wanted for him to do our album.. I want to say we gave him the pics in late August.. but we didn't have the review for our album until late october/early november.. and got the album right before christmas.

It was about 4 weeks, but we were told that up front. We got the DVD with the digital negatives and the online website at the same time.
The albums, since they depended on us picking photos out, we didn't get for about 10-11 months (that was our fault!)
Ours took significantly longer (a couple months), but it was well worth the wait. Our photographer (Holly Greene - AMAZING!!!) retouched every image and did a lot of artistic things with them. She is incredibly busy and does the weddings in the order that she shoots them to be fair. She told us this upfront, so we didn't mind. We ordered only the CD so we could make our own album. We ended up with 3,000 (yep, you read that right) pictures - many of which were completely amazing. I absolutely loved her.

It took about 2 months, maybe a little over, to get our proofs. That was too long, IMO -- especially since it wasn't during wedding season. No excuse.
I was antsy to see them by a month after the wedding. A few teaser photos would've gone a long way to making me a bit more patient, esp. if the wait was going to be long.
