Re: Manic Monday
Best: Getting some good rest, hiking Kennesaw Mtn. yesterday, and getting an IPHONE! It's a clearance 3GS, but who cares, it's not my 3 year old Razr! woo!
Worst: DH having to spend a lot of time working, so we didn't have all the quality time together we were hoping to have.
Best - sleeping in every day, our friends had their baby girl on the 4th and we visited them yesterday, hanging out with friends Sunday & Monday
Worst - waking up this morning was the pits, this damn boot, and punks ruined our Friday night dinner
best: a 3 day weekend!!! I spent a few hours on Sunday being in a near comatose/vegetative state. It was awesome. We watched 3 movies, hung around a lot and really enjoyed relaxing. DH ran the Peachtree and knocked off 5 min from last years' time too!
worst: The $%^& I do for love. I got up at 4AM to go with mrBAMF down to MARTA then to Buckhead for the beginning of the Peachtree RR then back on MARTA, down to the Arts station so I could hit up a real bathroom (my BFFs condo is for sale in Midtown so I stopped at her place for 5 min) then hoofed it in to Piedmont Park to see DH finish the race! It was a lot of work for someone NOT running the race! We were back in bed by 11AM too

Best: Having some time to relax, getting 4th in the state time trial (bike) championships, riding my mountain bike with old friends yesterday.
Worst: DH not feeling well yesterday. A whiny DH makes for a miserable Sadlebred. I made him soup last night. Poor thing still feels bad today. Not getting to go to the pool yesterday.

best - overall relaxing weekend!!! lots of pool time. cleaned the whole house - which feels great! dishwasher installed!! woo hoo
worst - getting up this morning realizing that i will probably have to work the next 24 days straight. blah!
Best: a four day weekend filled with family and friends. Went to a crazy hipster/carnival party friday. Chilled Saturday. Played on a lake Saturday and Sunday. Absolute best though was riding in a helicopter over the lake. I've never been on one. DH and I had a blast.
Worst: Realizing a friendship of mine might not be reparable and it might just have to go.
best: fireworks sunday at my old station's annual 4th of july event
worst: OUR PUNK NEIGHBORS SETTING OUR YARD ON FIRE.
My Shopping Blog
Best: spending the day on Sunday with my cousin's house in Marietta with a good chunk of my family drinking mojitos in the wonderful weather.
Worst: having an epic fight with DH in front of my family (staying at my house) over.... our trashcan. gatta love married life.
Best: Getting the good news that we got the house we wanted...signing on it tonight! Woohoo! Also, spending the holiday weekend together and not across different states!
Worst: I was PMSing all weekend and it sucked....cramps, bloating, fatigue...ugh!
Best: finishing the nursery, spending time floating in the pool--love the zero gravity!
Worst: Not feeling so great on Sunday
Best - Pumpkin came home from her FL trip. We watched fireworks and had a great, relaxing weekend.
Worst - Babysitter had a death in her family (distant relative) so she can't watch the kids again part of this week. My mom is coming down to spend the night tonight so she can care for them tomorrow.
I'm reeeeally late here. Oh well.
Best- Seeing my grandparents and time with DH.
Worst- getting news that DH's cousin was in the hospital on Sunday on life support (after his heart stopped for 10 min) and that they were pulling the plug that same evening. After which, he still lived and though breathing in pain, lived through the night unassisted. Monday morning he began responding to verbal commands (squeezing specific hands and moving feet), followed by pupils reacting to light and trying to sit up at least once at the mention of his 18mo daughter. Dr. said it was truly a miracle, but during the 10 min that his heart stopped, kidney and liver damage occured and now he's in hospice care in the hospital until he passes. Emotional rollercoaster at it's finest.
