how was your holiday weekend?
saturday, ran around like crazy getting ready for Josie's baptism this weekend. 80 people are coming?!? WTH? we wanted something small and ended up with 80 people...should be interesting! ![]()
saturday, beach and pool all day! a bunch of friends came over to our beach club and the kids had so much fun, even the babies! then fireworks on the beach with TJ, Josie, my mom and some of her friends (and a bottle of wine). Josie was too cute, though didn't pay much attention to the fireworks, she was having more fun with the sand between her toes.
yesterday, got so much cleaning and organizing done around the house (a friend dropped off 2 XL bags of baby girl clothes 3 - 9 month size, so awesome!) and lots of play time with josie. was so sad to come back to work today.
Re: Weekend Updates!
Sounds like a great time Jen!
80 people is going to be insane! Such love for your little girl though!
We had a pretty chill weeekend. On Saturday we took Dex here

He loved every second and was so tired he snored the whole way home.
that looks like so much fun! when i saw your FB post, i thought you were visiting the amish! LOL
Jen - OMG! 80 people?!? Good luck to you, lady!
Gerrie - That place looks great, and I imagine Dex is a sweet snoring baby.
Saturday I went to lunch and to see Eclipse with my nieces and my SIL then I went home to nap (DH was playing golf with his buddies). We went out to eat and crashed at 9:00.
Sunday, we went to a place called American Village. It is one of those places that is designed to be like Colonial America with actors dressed in period and they do reenactments. So fun, and the weather was actually nice to be outside for the first 4th since I can remember down here.
Monday, DH and I cleaned and grocery shopped. We are in serious need of organization if we are going to have this house ready for the baby.
Saturday our wind ensemble had a concert at the local amusement park, Kennywood, and we got in for free so we rode the rides all day before the concert.
Sunday we laid low. Went to an arts fest for a few hours with the SILs and nephew, and we watched a movie because we didn't want to deal with crowds to see the fireworks.
Yesterday I went for a bike ride with a former coworker- we used to go all the time. We went 25 miles and my butt hurts!

Saturday- We had a pool birthday party and then dinner with family.
Sunday and Monday- We stayed at the pool all day both days
Saturday- did some running around with my mom. Went to the Rockies game and watched the fireworks after the game with Jordan.
Sunday- Made a flag cake for the crawfish boil we went to. Spent time with the family at the boil and took our exhausted puppies home and watched some fireworks on our roof. Crashed on the couch by 10:00.
Monday- did some cleaning around the house and went to lunch and happy hour with my parents. Came home and played some yard games then got ready for the week ahead.
It was a nice 3 day weekend, but makes for a long Tuesday.
Friday to Monday we rented a lake house in the Catskills - 8 people and 2 dogs made for an interested weekend! We did a lot of grilling which was great because we never get to do it in the city.
We got home last night and my best friend and her husband were waiting for us in our apartment. They're hiking the AT from Georgia to Maine and made it into NY yesterday so they took the bus into the city for the night. I haven't seen her in almost 2 years so it was nice to be able to spend some time together. Lexi on the other hand was NOT happy about having people in her house when we got home. She was a brat all night.
I can't wait to sleep
Im a little late lol
We were at the lake from thursday night until monday afternoon. His parents best friends have a house down there so there were quite a few ppl and we did a lot of eating, boating, I barefooted and I attempted to ski...we had a great time!
