Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. Have any of you ladies done any canning before? Our garden is busting at the seams right now and we are going to be loaded with tomatoes. I would like to make our own tomato sauce and can it. So first I need to find a recipe (any suggestions?) and then I need to start getting all my supplies. If any of you have done this before, is it worth the hassle?

I canned strawberry sauce (it was supposed to be jam but I didnt add enough sugar LOL), it was easy to can them though. I bought all of my supplies at walmart (canning kit, jars, large pot/canning rack).
I havent done tomato sauce yet, try looking on allrecipes.com or recipezaar.com
i don't know too much about canning, but I did find this little post about freezing tomatos. if you didn't want to invest in the canning setup, you could at least freeze them.
