Poll: Cell Phone Numbers

I called my H to find out if he was on his way home and he replies, "no, I'm gonna be late. Sorry I don't have my phone today and I don't know your number so I couldn't call w/ my work cell."

I love this man but really? Really?! You don't know my phone number? It's been the same for the past five years that we've been together. Sweet baby Jesus grant me patience.

Re: Poll: Cell Phone Numbers

  • I only know maybe five phone numbers these days. Before cell phones I was a whiz at remembering everyone's!

Don't feel too badly. My H has rarely been able to get my email address right in 7 years. And a few months ago he called my office asking for Amy MaidenName. Really??

  • SS. I know his main cell phone number but not his work cell phone number. I also don't know either of my parents' numbers or my brothers' numbers. In fact, I think my DH's primary cell is the only number I do know!
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

  • I only know the numbers that have been the same for a long time - 2 of my college roomies, DH's, my dad's, my sister's.  My mom got a new one a couple months ago and I have no idea anymore.
  • I do know his number, but I must confess it is because I have to listen to it every time he doesn't answer the phone.  "You have reached..........6...1...9...."  And, to this day, if I'm telling it to someone I have to say it with the same speed an intonation.
  • I know H's, my parents and bros & sisters by memory. Anyone else I need to check my contacts list.

  • I know my H's cell phone number, my granmother's and my aunt's home number. The only reason I know them is because they were the same before cell phones became the norm.

I don't know my parents' address or home phone numbers because they moved after I already had a cell phone.

  • This is too funny. I know all three of my H's cell numbers, but he still doesn't know mine. I am the mother of his children and watch our children all day every day and have had the same number since 2001 and he still doesn't know it by heart. LOL. My daughter knows mine. She's 3.
  • I know my H's number, because I feel like it is a good thing to know in case of emergency (and if I don't have my phone with me)...but he has no clue what my cell number is...or what our home number is!
  • I have memorized numbers for my husband and my parents. I can never remember if my brother's phone ends with 6 or 8, so I usually dial that wrong. My husband remembers numbers for anyone he calls- he'd rather dial it into the phone than go through the contacts list!
  • I know my parents number and DH's cell. That is it. I used to know so many, but can't even tell you a digit of most now.
