  someone just mentioned to me the idea of laying in a bathtub of cold water, it sounds heavenly right now.

  Definitely some sort of cold edible item, popsicle, ice cream, italian ice...

  I haven't found a way to beat the heat yet! I just try to accept it...but that only works for about a minute...

  Lately, lots of ice cream has been a good thing to at least distract me.  Going to the beach with a book, an ice chest full of cold seltzer and melon.

  Visiting my parents and taking advantage of their central air! Otherwise, I am getting a TON of reading done this summer because I just sit in the bedroom where we have our one and only a/c unit (and no tv).

  Definitely italian ices. Love them. Hanging out right next to the a/c really helps too. Taking cool showers (but I'm home with the kiddo, so I actually have time for that every so often).

  This is my luckiest summer. In my summer school class, there are two huge ac units. At our new place, we live on the 1st floor, it's shaded and we have ceiling fans. I used to live on a hot 3rd floor and the ac didn't even help that much.

  My favorite way to beat the heat has to be shopping. I'm off to lowes on LI to find more things for my bathroom renovation.
