Who else is sick?
Seems like everyone seems to have a cold or flu or some other malady (mality? I can't remember which is correct...) this week/end. What a way to spend the 4th, huh ladies?
I thought I was having an allergy attack after doing a 5.5 mile walk around a lake that was dense with shrubbery I tend to be allergic to. However, it's now Tuesday and my head is still stuffy. To make matters worse, I've got that interview/teaching audition in about an hour and a half, and I'm losing my voice (well, lost it -- it's coming back, but it still sounds like Rose at the end of Titanic..."Jack! There's a boat, Jack!").
Anyone else want to whine? Misery loves company...

Ha, love the Rose reference. (Sidenote: You know what almost killed that movie for me? The inane dialogue and the heinous overruse of them calling each other by name. "Jack! Rose! Rose! Jack!")
Sorry you're sick. I am not. I'm more of a winter sufferer.
But good luck at your interview. Sorry I couldn't think of anything good to tell you. What did you decide on?

Thank you. Actually, I found out from the second e-mail that it did NOT have to be a How-To presentation (good thing to tell me this morning), it could just be about anything. So I'm going to do a breif timeline of pop culture vampires and compare which is the "scariest" based on myth/legend about how vampires can be killed. I actually wrote a blog about it a while ago on FB - check my notes, it's called "Why Sparkly Vamps ARE Scary."
My reasoning of topic choice is (a) I know the most about it right now since I'm immersed in thesis writing daily, and (b) if I'm supposed to be prepping high school students for the SAT, shouldn't I be aware of their interests? Haha, okay, the second one is more a "I hope someone buys that excuse" reason, but it still works!
I've had a headache off and on for about 3 weeks now...currently on. Does that count as sick? Other than that, all good over here. I'm hoping it's off on Thursday.
Definitely a good idea to stick with something you know! Let me know how it goes. I've considered applying for a similar position with a similar "audition" interview for some extra cash myself.

I think I'm dying.
I've been sick since last Wednesday - felt fine over the weekend (thankfully), but now it's back w/ a vengence. It doesn't help that I have to moderate 5 webcon's today! fun.
