Guess what I found...
Yup, our marriage certificate! Apparently I have taken recycling to a new level as on a whim, DH and I went through our huge container again last night. We found it under 45 seconds of looking...it was right on top and in perfect condition!
My mom and I were so set on it being a bright yellow file folder that we didn't see it between all of the ads...shoot, it almost looked like one of the ads!
And now I'm no longer even pissed-off that for some reason the recycling company hasn't picked up our container in a month! When we noticed that they didn't pick it up again last Thursday I told DH that maybe it was a sign to go back through the 5' container! What are the odds?

Don't you hate / love when that happens? It's awesome because you found whatever you needed, but then it's aggravating because you spent so much time, energy, and stress when it was right there.
That happened to me this morning (not over something as important and a marriage license, though). I was tearing the house apart looking for the specific shirt. I could swear I washed it this weekend so I figured I left it in our dryer. Nope. Not in the laundry room anywhere. Not in my dresser, not in the guest room, not in my closet. Nowhere! Oh right, it was on the floor in my closet - dirty. Bite me, Wednesday.

I actually have 2 copies...but they were still stapled together and therefore right in the recyclables together! *DOH!* They have now been separated and are filed under "M" where they belong (well until one of them gets framed!).
And I know that I can't blame DH for this either...he wouldn't touch the mail, the ads, or the recyclables with a 10' pole! Men...
