I took a honeymoon, our next trip is a vacation. I feel like if its taken very soon after the wedding, say within a month or so its a honeymoon, anything after thats a vacation.
The definition states newlyweds take honeymoons & newlywed is defined as a person recently married so I guess a honeymoon is based on how you view recently married.
you get one wedding. then it's called a vow renewal.
you get one honeymoon. then it's called a vacation.
Now I want to go read and see where the confusion is. Britt- help me out and just flame in FFW
I had a HM. Now I want a vacation.
ETA: Never mind, got it. I tend to skip posts if I don't think I'll have anything to say.

We're leaving on the HM on the 18th after that it's vacation except for our anniversary, we're calling it our 1 year which we have some ideas but we have to see as we get closer. After the HM our next vacation will be Minnesota

we never took a honeymoon.
but our next trip will be so far removed from the wedding (and probably not just us two) that it will fail to be a honeymoon.

We are going on our honeymoon at the end of this month and I do consider it our honeymoon. It worked out better financially and with H's schedule to wait a month. We stayed at a super nice local hotel the wedding weekend which I don't consider to really be a mini moon.
I consider it our honeymoon because it is a vacation taken shortly after our wedding that was planned along with our wedding to celebrate our wedding. It is not a normal vacation for us as we would not be going on a cruise (or anywhere) this summer if it weren't for us getting married.
After that, it will be vacations.
