We haven't had a vent fest in awhile. I'll start...
I cannot figure out my mom. She has had this girl cutting her hair for over a year, we'll call her A, and every time she cuts it, mom comes out crying and hating how it looks. For OVER a year. Aused to work at the same salon as my stylist, we'll call her B, but quit (in a very unprofessional manner - as in she was supposed to open and when B, who is also the owner of the salon, showed up two hours after A was supposed to open, A wasn't there and never even called B to tell her that she was leaving). ANYWAY, mom decides to go to B. BUT her A called her yesterday so instead, mom went to her this morning. Mom just calls, crying, saying "She used THINNING shears on me!" Um, well, you've complained about her for over a year....why did you think she would do better if she was at another salon???
Re: Random Wednesday Rants
I certainly would not continue to go to a hairstylist I did not like! I'm so paranoid about my hair as it is.
I'm trying to think of a rant...I will have to get back to this post when I do.
Ok that was quick...
Dear stupid salesman...do not tell me you are working on your best price for this product and then tell me the current price is the best when it was $30 cheaper 2 days ago. Thanks but no thanks...I will just wait on the sale again or buy it local for the same price and pay no shipping and have it now.
Dear MIL,
David does not need to wear wool pants in two weeks to a baptism. Yes, he would look cute in the traditional Polish outfit but in the same token, WOOL PANTS IN JULY!!! Oh, and I will not wear the traditional Polish outfit either. I understand you are proud of your heritage but I am not gong to wear an outfit for a nationality that i have zero heritage in. Besides DH doesn't own an outfit and I'd look like a complete ass. I don't want all the attention on me. OMG, look at Melanie in the Polish outfit. NO, the baby being baptized should be the attention receiver. (I know it sounds like I'm full of myself but seriously, it'd be nuts the amount of talk that owuld go on about me in that damn outfit.
Mel - i love your rants, they could be my life if you exchanged "Polish" for "Italian" -
Hubs is full blooded Italian (those of you on my FB know my last name is mouth full) I'm a little bit of everything else - my MIL says I'm "Italian by marriage" whatever - which basically means I need to follow all of their traditions, but my family traditions don't matter because I'm not Italian, it's really annoying, to top it off I'm Agnostic, some days I want to pop her upside the head and remind her that her ITALIAN CATHOLIC son married a MUTT NON BELIEVER and he's perfectly fine with that. Lately she's been reading bible stories to the kids, I'm ok with the kids having exposure to the idea of religion but I also want them to know that they have options. Of course MIL can't even fathom there is other options out there and it doesn't matter because we're all going to the bad place. Ok that's my rant for the day - MIL is a bit crazy.
just an example of what the outfits look like
LOL! Yes you would be the talk of the baptism!!!
Dear SIL & BIL:
You have been pregnant for all of two months now. Please stop asking me and DH when we will produce a child for your child to play with on a weekly basis. Thanks.
Really? Oh lord I don't see how you deal with it all. If Mark is not wearing anything I most certainly would not! If I was going to look stupid there'd be no way he was going to get out of it.
I'm sorry Jess those questions are never easy and are even more annoying if you are TTC. Only a few people know of my infertility issues and when those that don't make comments like that to me it's the worst feeling in the world. Just makes me want to shout from the rooftops to get off my fvcking back I can't help I am this way and I'm doing everything I can to change it!
Our newish neighbors next door bought a puppy yesterday. They supposedly spent over $2k on this English bull dog.
1) i wish people would get a dog from the pound instead. I understand that it may not be the breed you are looking for but still.
2) I don't think they have any idea how to take care of a puppy. DH gave them our old crate from when our dog was a puppy. DH said, you need to take the dog outside first thing when you get home. Nope, didn't listen. Took the dog inside and it pooped. I told them to ask the breeder for some of the food the puppy has been eating. If you want to switch brands, you need to slowly introduce it. He looked at me like I had three heads.
3) They have three kids. One is in maybe second or third grade and the youngest just turned one. I hope they treat the puppy nicely and are not to rough.
4) They don't have a gate in their backyard. I'm curious to see what they do in the dead of winter when the dog needs to go outside.
Overall I'm glad they found a dog they liked, I'm just afraid that they don't have what it takes to be good doggy parents/family.
Right? Nobody knows we are TTC for this very reason. Luckily I'm only getting it from family right now, and not people at work. It probably helps that I work with mostly men
. I bet it is extremely frustrating for you Elizabeth! Is your IUI still looking good for August?
Looks like it. My cycle seemed to go back to normal this time so if the next month goes ok than we could be starting as early as July 28 or as soon thereafter as AF arrives. I mainly get it from fam/friends that just don't know. I work around men too so they could care less!
Oh no! I hope they are good parents too. I cannot stand when people get pets not having a clue how to care for them.
