Lindsay Lohan: Discuss.

Personally, I think she's trash and am happy she is going to jail. She's gotten the soft hand of the law too many times with all of her antics and it's about time she did some time. It won't be the full 90 days, but damn sure it'll be something.

And I'm so cruel - I LOL'd when I saw the pictures of her reaction...the "omgican'tbelieveshe'sdoingthistomei'mlindsaylohan!!!!!!!!!!!!!" face to the "ohsh!ti'mgoingtoprison" crying face. How about ya don't break the law, mmmmkay?

WDYT?

Re: Lindsay Lohan: Discuss.

  • Dan Abrams on The Today Show said it was actually a pretty harsh sentence for the crime and that she is being used as an example to Hollywood that you can't mess around with the law. That being said, I don't think she has taken any of this seriously and deserves the punishment. She won't serve the whole time. Hopefully she gets the help she needs in rehab.

  • I get what the courts are trying to do, but i don't agree with the sentence.

This is someone who needs help, and now. Sending to her jail isn't going to give her the real help she needs.

This is sad to think, (and i can't believe i'm saying it out loud) but i don't think she will live beyond her 30's.

See, I get that she needs help, but they've tried that route before and it hasn't worked (missed classes, leaving rehab, etc) I'm thinking that maybe jail will "scare her straight" a bit and hopefully get it through her head that this is for real, consequences are real, and then the rehab she has to complete when she's released might actually work. Otherwise, her getting help hasn't seemed to do squat in the past.

  • She is someone who needs to remove herself from that atmosphere, but unfortunately for her that would be the end of her career. What else is she going to do?

  • I kind of feel bad for her in a sense.  She has no direction in her life and not a whole lot to live for it seems.  She just parties all the time and that gets old really fast.  I hope that going to jail and being forced to go to rehab helps her out since nothing else seems to be working for her.

  • It's funny how I can agree with everything you ladies are saying.  I do feel bad for her and truly feel that her lifestyle/family life have taken their toll in a very scary way.  However, you make your own choices and choosing to leave rehab and continue to party is only going to lead her to an early death and/or even more jail time.  Suck it up, do the time, finish rehab and remove yourself from toxic people.  Learn from this experience and move on.

    Yes

  • I think she needs some serious help but a little jail time won't hurt her.  I think she needs to get a little taste of reality and then go to rehab and get the help she needs.

Nothing like telling the judge that you respect her when you have the words "F**k You" on your middle fingernails.

  • On the one hand I do feel bad for her because she really won the loser parent lotto, and her parents have basically been famewhoring her out since she was 12.  That's going to screw ANYBODY up.  (See: Michael Jackson)

However, she's old enough now to realize that she's losing "work" (I really hate actors and actresses who talk about how stressful their job pretending to be other people is all the time) and is not a bankable star.  She needs to get her $hit together, and hopefully jail will help do that.

And good for the judge - I would feel bad about the harsh sentence, but I think the judge has had enough of the "Oops!  I'm in the French Riviera and can't make it back in time... I mean, lost my passport!" hijinks.

  • I think she is getting exactly what she deserves. Making choices have consequences and its about damn time she learns it. Especially when she has been known to put herself in the position to hurt others while making these choices. Does someone have to die before she is really punished?
