our neighbors invited us to go and I think MH wants to go, but I'm trying to get out of it. me + crowds = onecrankybitch.
I don't either...was able to get land access through someone I know. I'm thinking that this way I will be able to avoid most of the crowds....finger crossed? lol
Hmmm. I didn't know there was land access! I wonder who I have to know to get that?!
I was reaching pretty hard to get mine...I know they were/are giving away Landshark passes on KASE...not sure if they still are?

My family and I were just talking about this event last night. Apparently it's been known to draw 200,000+ people. Keep in mind this won't be just Austinites, but out-of-towners as well. They are also saying if you do not get your boat in the water the Thursday/Friday before, you won't get it in at all, it's gonna be *that* crazy. You can only imagine how crazy it will be to get OFF the lake, if getting on is actually going to be that insane. I hate to scare you away from a fun time, I just hear it's gonna be madness. Of course, I could be completely wrong...
My family all agreed that we would be staying as far away from the lake that weekend as possible. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer"ETA: Good luck!
If you are willing to pay, I think you can get in through Volente Beach also on tubes.
