Anybody else excited for this to start tomorrow? Anybody else jump up and down last week when they saw a preview for it?
No? Yeah. That would be pretty lame.
Re: TV talk - Big Brother
You just made my afternoon with this reminder. I was wondering when it started, but I kept forgetting to look it up.
I enjoy watching the Showtime After Dark episodes (just when the house is full) because there's always some interesting stuff going on.
"Once I got a bath bomb that, once exploded, filled the tub with confetti. Little sharp metallic pieces of confetti. The product description said nothing about confetti. Oh look, there's a tiny, sharp metallic blue star stabbing me in the labia. HOW RELAXING. " - NoisyPenguin
This is one of the few reality shows that I like in the beginning. With actual talent based shows (Project Runway, Top Chef), the early shows are so hard to watch because there are just too many people that you can't keep track.
Here, when they are packed in the house like rats, the crazy comes out.
The preview made it look like the houseguests could potentially be slightly older, not all 21-24 year olds. I am happy about that. It was bugging me that, in the last couple of seasons, they were going for Real World style casting.
Lurker jumping in....
I am on your level of excitedness when it comes to BB. What are your thoughts on the twist?
That there is a mole in the house that isn't in it to win it?
Awesome.
I think that will play out really well. I would pay money to be that person. It would be so much fun to eff with people while not actually having to worry about the final vote.
I am sooo excited. I was stalking my favorite big brother blog (yeah I'm a huge bb dork) and squeed when I saw that they had put up pictures of the contestants last week.
Friday we should have a discussion about who we think the mole is.
I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS STARTING! YOU SAVED MY LIFE!
They are all internets media people, right?
Wait, what? Like bloggers?
I haven't read anything about the houseguests, but, really? Ick.
Oh well. Their shtick usually fades away after the first couple of weeks, and life outside of the house doesn't exist. Hopefully this will just be one of those things that means something the first episode, and then you totally forget about by Sunday.
The cast has been up for almost a week now. They aren't all dot com people.

well, I'm all sorts of confused. I watched this 9 pt preview while doing data entry and thought those were the guests. I never actually went and looked at the actual houseguests. Am I stupid and they let the press pretend they are moving in before they put the actual cast in there? I think the answer must be yes. Hmpf. What kind of fan am I?
well this is good. because the people in these previews suck.
I don't know what they do but I know that they are sequestered prior to entering the house. I think this season someone backed out during sequester because they already couldn't handle it.
I just thought that they moved into the house like a week before we actually start seeing anything. They need to start stocking up on some footage. They make it look like live TV with Julie Chen and all when they move in, but I don't think that actually happens, like today.
Of course, I have no supporting evidence of this. I just like to make up stories.
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
