Who is going to be my drug mule and send me the good stuff? I get why they passed it, and the state does have a major meth problem. It just seems over the top to me. I'm not making meth. I should just be able to buy my Aleve Cold and Sinus in peace. I had no problems when they passed the law putting it all behind the counter. Now, we can't buy it at all.
Thoughts?

Re: I may need help this winter
I think the state should give away meth free for 3-6 months. The fiends who are too far gone and have Swiss cheese brains will finish themselves off and the manufacturers will be driven out of business and leave the state or have to find some new way to make money. When the giveaway stops, there will be fewer meth addicts and with less demand and having been forced to seek other opportunities, there will be fewer labs.
Or it could backfire and the addict rate could spike. You should try it anyway.

"I would just about bet the family farm that this time next year we will be a-hooping and a-hollering and celebrating that we did something good for this state," said state Rep. Forrest Hamilton, R-Olive Branch.
I'm sorry, I can't get past the fact that I'm mortified to have ever called Olive Branch home.
That is really annoying. Hopefully your doctor can call you in a scrip with unlimited refills for a year or something.
The nerve!

I hope so. I'm going to be really pissed if I have to go in for an office visit just to get cold medicine though.
That's absurd. I get the behind-the-counter thing, and I imagine it's a pretty big deterrent to folks who would have otherwise cleared out the allergy med aisle. Isn't that enough? It's not like you're going into CVS and asking for 50 cases of Claritin.
Or are you?
