Well, as per usual, some of my freaking out wasn't necessary. haha. Thanks to allobosc, I stopped out to Target after work and found a new patio table & chairs!! It's only 4 chairs, when we really wanted 6, but it's a really nice set and I love it!!
We got this table: http://tinyurl.com/34yt5wz
And these chairs: http://tinyurl.com/33hw4u3
For a total of $250!! Yay! ![]()
I reeeeeally wanted this too (http://tinyurl.com/2vrt3q6) but DH said it would be too difficult to anchor down in our yard. Boo.
It was on sale for $150!!
With our other table/chairs from the porch, and a couple camp chairs, we should be good to go! We also got a decent chunk of the cleaning done, so now I just have to freak out about making all of the food, lol.
What would I do without you ladies?! ![]()
Re: f/u to my freak out
I KNOW!! I called DH while I was at the store and had him look it up online - he was like "uhhh, it says it's like $500 on here...". Hah.
Oh, and we had to borrow BIL's truck to go get the stuff, so we told him and SIL about the sale too, and they went out and got a loveseat & chair for their deck too!
So they thank you as well!
What a deal, I should go there.
I got a gazebo thing, kinda like the pergola on clearance last week half off, I wanted to wait it out to see if it would be 75% off but it was the last one and I wanted it bad!!! It was originally $300, we got it for $150. If i had time I'd post a picture. I love it though. We anchored it to our deck.
I love that pergola though, we looked at it, but way too big for our deck.
I forgot to add too that I bought 4 cushions for our table/chairs...ROUND ones. Do you know how long I've been looking for new ones? It was my grandma's table and it's probably been 5 yrs. we've been looking for them. They weren't on sale (boo) but I snatched them up b/c I could never find them anywhere.
Glad I could help the whole family out
Here's the review: (part of it)
I love my new Pergola. It took quite awhile to put it up however. 5 hours ...two people. But I did a few things different. First instead of anchoring it to the ground (which it is well built for) I decided to put sand in the legs to weight it so that I could put it by the pool and not have to anchor to the cement. It turned out wonderful! I live in Texas and it needs to be very sturdy to withstand all the wind we have around here. For those who are interested in doing this ...
Only the bottom 1/2 of the legs were filled with sand because there is a top on the bottom half. It took 40 lbs each leg. I cut 9 inch squares out of plywood, then filled the bottom part of the legs with sand. I had to use the plywood to keep the sand from falling out and inserted it with screws to the base before connecting to the bottom of the leg. OH, had to buy 16 - 6mm X 30mm screws since the ones that came with it were too short with the plywood. Then I put a piece of outdoor carpet on the bottom so it didn't scratch.
Interesting!! Maybe I'll see if DH would be willing to do this, and then see if they happen to have any left! Thanks
Our baby girl!!
