Due to an unfortunate incident involving a toilet bowl and a makeup bag, I need to replenish my makeup!
What are you go to picks for any and all makeup items? (I know there is a F&B board but I already post there too much!)
Re: Go-to makeup picks
I'm a fan of pretty much anything by Estee Lauder. I love the Double Wear foundation.
I love my M.A.C. eyeshadows, Bare Minerals bronzer, Aveda lipstick/gloss, and Estee Lauder mascaras.
What skank gave this post only four stars?!
Don't you know five star material when you see it? pshh
I suck at make-up. I should hang out on F&B more. Maybe I'd learn something.
I honestly just use Bare Minerals foundation and blush/bronzer, Great Lash Mascara, and Revlon Lip gloss.

PUR Minerals foundation- it's like bare minerals but it has MUCH better coverage, and it's pressed powder compact rather than loose. it also doesnt run as badly if you sweat.
ANYTHING Benefit. specifically blushes and mascara
if i go cheap i go maybelline for eye shadow.
if you have an Ulta nearby their eyeshadows are nice too.
Urban decay primers are awesome if you can afford them, and you can use pretty much any cheap eye shadow and it stays on all day.

I also kind of suck at makeup, but I'm learning! I like Almay mascara because my eyes are reallllllly sensitive and Almay's hypoallergenic. (plus I only like the ones with really fuzzy brushes- the coiled brushes make my lashes stick together and I hate it) I LOVE my MAC eyeshadows and eyeliner (srsly MAC eyeliner is the best- their browns and charcoals are super versatile. I use Teddy and it's nice and light usually, but if I just use a little more it's super dark and perfect for my hooker look)?

And if you feel like sawing the thing open to get all of the product out. lol That's *the* biggest design fail ever.

Ha, our makeup bags sound very similar! I love Tarte & Buxom, I am just always looking to try new things.
Definitely my MAC foundation... LOVE it! But I have been itching to try a bare minerals type foundation to see if it works for me. My skin is super blotchy and although I love my MAC foundation, I want to try the bare minerals thing to see if my skin is better with it.
I also love my MAC gel liner. Don't use it everyday, just once in awhile when I feel like wearing a bit more.
I love Stila products. And Dior Show is the best mascara by far!
I need to find a good bronzer, cuz I dropped mine today and it broke in a million pieces. And I wear bronzer like its my job, otherwise I look totally washed out.

I have so much other crap in there that never gets used because I always go back to those. I have a serious makeup/skin care problem. lol

I don't wear much makeup. No concealer, powder, blush, etc. I don't wear lipstick either.. so, basically I just do my eyes haha and then sometimes it's only mascara.
I love Estee Lauder's Pure Color Eyeshadow. My current favorite is Cinnamon. I LOVE how MAC eyeshadow looks. 'll do maybelline sometimes too.
I do Maybelline for eye liner and mascara. Unstoppable eyeliner. Define-a-Lash Mascara. Sometimes Great Lash.
I can't justify to myself spending a lot of money on makeup, but that's just my tight-wade self.
My Planning Bio
I just use maybeline products and I definitely like them. I find I get the same results as with anything else.
BUT I did use some Mary Kay stuff for my wedding and it was truly awesome. I'm just broke and don't want to spend more than a few bucks on make up at the moment.
ditto emisi on Makeup Forever foundation. i hate lipgloss because it gets all over everything and makes me feel sticky, but my lips are fairly pink so i just use a bit of Kiehl's lip balm which makes me look liek i'm wearing gloss. and then Cargo reverse lipliner--most ingenious product ever. it is basically a nude lipliner that prevents lipstick bleed.
also laura mercier Baby Lips lipstick.
