New to the board. : ) and date suggestions?
Hello everyone, the other boards are getting old so I figured I would head over here. Brief introduction: DH and I got married two months ago and are living in Henry County on the southside right now. I just graduated from N. GA College and DH is in flight school.
Anyway, I was looking to find some new date idea's because it has been a while since we have lived near the city. Any one have any suggestions for restaurants (we're not really bar people)? I was also thinking of seeing The Phantom of the Opera while its in town.

Welcome to the board!
There are a few parks in the Henry Co area that a picnic lunch/dinner would be nice. You're also not too far from High Falls (perhaps a 20-30 min drive- I think), which has a decent walking/ easy hiking path near some water and it's ok for swimming (though I haven't been there in years, so I don't know if/how it's changed).
I saw Phantom a while back, and it was a great show! If you're able to go, do it!
I love phantom. Its a really great show. I'm not seeing it this time but I have in the past and its always been great.
I am in Henry too. We usually go into the city for food and entertainment because we haven't found a lot we like in the burbs.
There is a really good Greek place in Hapeville and my fav. Thai place, Panita, is in the highlands (make sure you have a LOT of time for this place).
We enjoyed the history center and the center for puppetry arts and sometimes we'll go into town for the art gallery walk the first Thursday of every month in Buckhead. That has been fun in the past.
