new puppy in my very near future...
So...by now, the majority of you know that Kyle and I lost the Gus man a little over three weeks ago. I didn't know that we would be ready for a new dog anytime soon...but Phoebe has been so sad and moping around the house. We started looking in to another bulldog a few weeks ago, and found a breeder we thought we'd like in Corbin, KY (about 2.5 hours away from us). We drove up a week ago to see their litters and fell in LOVE with a little baby girl.
She comes home to us this Sunday! I can't wait. We are still trying to decide on a name. We've narrowed it to four: Piglet, Petunia, Lola and Sweet Pea. I'll post pics when she's here!
Just wanted to say thanks again for your kind messages, emails, texts, etc when we lost Gus. He was such an important part of our life, and we miss him so much every day. Hopefully this puppy will help fill the void in our hearts.

I was heart broken to hear about Gus and I hope that this new little girl will help fill the void for you guys and for poor Phoebe.
I love the names you guys have come up with (I thik Petunia or Lola are my favs) and I cannot wait to see pics of the new puppy!

I know loosing Gus was very hard...so I'm glad you found a puppy to bring home and love.
As for names I love both Lola and SweetPea.

Losing a dog is so hard, even on the other furbabies! When my dog died, I swear even my cat missed him.
I'm so glad you guys found a new puppy to love on! I can't wait to see some pics, but without seeing the pup, my favorite name so far is Petunia.
Again, I'm so sorry about Gus. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. I hope your new pup brings you lots of joy.
I call our puppy Sweet Pea as her nickname. Poor girl is probably confused on what her name is. But, I love Lola too. Actually, they are all great names.

There is a cute little girl in our neighborhood named Heifer.
Mary, i love heiffer! so cute and funny for a little bullie. we had a loooong list of names, and finally narrowed it down to these four. i say sweet pea all the time, so while i love it, i'd rather not use that. and i feel like there are a lot of lola's out there. i think my front runners are petunia and piglet - she has a tiny little tail that's a little curled, so piglet is definitely fitting. although, i imagine a big, fat bullie named petunia and it makes me giggle. either way, she's going to be precious!
