Vent(s)

They are both about DH.

He loves to drink the minute maid fruit punch (it's only $1 at Walmart and he goes through it so fast).  Anyway, he will drink it all, smash the carton then leave in on the counter...right next to the recycling pull out bin.  Seriously, he took the time to compact it yet not throw it away?!

Another one.  I love that he wants to help around the house.  He will notice the dishwasher is finished and clean and help unload it.  YAY!!! But he only partially does it.  Like today, he unloaded it except for the few items he doesnt know where to put them.  Yesterday it was a cutting board.  Today it was the blender and spoon rest.  LMAO.

Anyone have any vents.

Re: Vent(s)

  • DH does the same thing with recycling.  He'll leave it on the counter instead of bending over to put it in the bin.  He also insists on leaving the caps on things like milk cartons, even though those have to go in the trash.

He also keeps leaving things within Satchel's reach.  So I end up having to chase the puppy around when he's chewing on something that he shouldn't have.  If it's something that won't hurt the dog, though, I've quit "rescuing" a lot of DH's stuff.  I figure that eventually enough of his stuff will get destroyed that DH will realize the need to put stuff out of Satchel's reach!

  • We have a decent size walk in closet and the laundry hampers are at the end of it against a wall. Well DH will stand at the door way and throw his clothes in there and miss completely. Normally I gather them up and put them in the hamper when I am in the closet the next morning. Well this past week I didnt do that and only washed what was in the hamper. He called me at work today (he goes in later than me) asking about some shirt and I asked him if it was in the hamper and he said yes. I told him I only washed the cothes that made it in the hamper. I bet when I get home all the clothes I stepped over are in the hamper.

LOL!  Dh does the same thing to me too!  I put a hamper right next to the closet- which is RIGHT by his side of the bed and he just throws his clothes on the floor.  So annoying.

  • DH is the opposite - he puts all clothes in the hamper, dirty or not!!! It drives me crazy because then when I'm doing the washing he'll ask for something and I'll be washing it because it was in the hamper and he says "oh it was clean!!!"

I totally understand.  You know how I feel about my MIL.  The girls on here have helped me to understand that people like that just need to be ignored.  Life is better that way ;)
