Hi girls,
My friend is looking to potentially buy a home in Upton, MA.
I don't know anything about the town, so I was hoping you might be able to give me some insight.
I'm kind of looking for how the town fares in terms of rank (school systems, median household income, etc). I found a good list online once a long time ago, but can no longer find it.
I know that it's near Hopkinton and Hopkinton is a good town, but I don't know how Upton fares in comparison? How does it compare to Milford, etc?
Thanks.
Re: Question: Upton, MA
I grew up in Westborough which is another neighboring town. I don't know a ton about Upton - if I remember, the schools are pretty good (I believe they have a regional high school - Nipmuc Reg. HS). The town is quieter/less developed that Hopkinton and Westborough. I would choose to live in Upton over Milford (schools are better).
Wiki actually has a lot of good info regarding stats - it's a small town, population was under 6,000 at the 2000 census. Median household income was just under 80,000, and just under 90,000 for a family (also as of 2000).
Ok, so it sounds like it's a pretty good town.
The house she's looking at looks beautiful and the price is great, so it made me wonder if the town was just ehh.
Thanks.
The town has a GREAT school (Nipmuc)! I graduated from there in 2002. I grew up in the neighboring town of Mendon. Both are great; definitely better than Milford. It comes highly recommended.
