Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. I think that there is a picture of me opening it, actually. I'll have to hunt it up.
MIL was going on and on about how God told her to go to her fabric stash, and God made the blue match the blue of our colors perfectly (it's far from a perfect match, BTW), and God gave her the idea to make this for me to put my knitting in, etc., etc. Now, I am a devout, born-again, evangelical Christian who attends church each and every Sunday and reads the Bible each and every day, but she has totally bounced across the border into crazy-land.
I would have just tossed the wretched thing, but Matt said something about it being "really sweet of her" to make that for me. He knows that I can't stand her and he actually doesn't have a problem with that. I do need to make a few concessions now and then, though, because she IS his mom and he does love her. Thus the "compromise" of keeping it. The blue sides are really not so bad, when that's all you see.
